Besides gravity. What brings you down?

Whatever answers, in the form of thoughts, your mind conjures up, know this. If you get out of your head and into your heart, thought forms disappear.

The key to happiness can be found by disabling negative thinking. I love the phrase “giving weight” to one's thoughts.

Don't give worries weight. Don't let them stick to you. As hard as it is to accept, you do have that choice.

You can shift.

You have tools within you to elevate and rid yourself of anxiety and fear. And they'll set you free. For free.

How do you get (back) up?

Our negative minds let dark forces seep in. But we possess positive and neutral minds too.

How do we get them- the positive and meditative or contemplative forces within us- to raise up and override the persistent programming, conditioning, (dare I say) brainwashing we're subjected to?

By realizing we have alternatives. And exercising them.

Idiots think saints do.

Those 4 words stand out to me. We all overthink. Most of us don't do (enough).

By turning off parts of the brain we free ourselves from guilt, shame, and anger. Many of us have heard about the benefits of dopamine as we engage in aerobic exercise. How many of you know it's literally impossible to experience sadness at the same time you're doing an easily taught yoga asana? Or that breath work will induce restful sleep?

“Bad news” and tragedies will find you in this lifetime. And your mind doesn’t come with an on/off switch. So how you deal with challenging events is paramount to one's mental health.

How long do you grapple? Do you dwell? Do you allow the stink to set in? How heavy does the depression get?

I practice asking myself these questions. Why?  Does anyone NOT know someone that has taken his or her own life? How much did their shitty thoughts weigh?

Before you let the negative mind run your life for another day, reach for deep breath and a glimpse of relief.

Maybe Physical exercise Isn't your thing. There are other ways to activate the unquantifiable huge positive neural patterns within your brain. Maybe it's painting or writing or listening to music that turns them on. For many it's communicating with a loved one.

Does it bring you closer to trusting and enjoying your life? If so, keep doing that.

Or does your remedy temporarily numb you? I used to think alcohol, pot, cocaine etc worked for me. Worked as ineffective shortcuts to nowhere.

Tools to somewhere elevated.

HOPE, JOY, TRUST, WILL, FAITH, COMMITMENT, DETERMINATION, GOALS, DRIVE, CONFIDENCE, COURAGE, BLESSINGS, PRAYER, VISIONS, BELIEF, FORTITUDE, PASSION, PURPOSE, MISSION, GRATITUDE, ENTHUSIASM, EXUBERANCE, LIBERATION, FREEDOM, IMAGINATION, SENSATION, INSPIRATION

Any of these words light you up ? If any -even one – feels like a vehicle for you to ride on into a better place with perfect… Do it…  Practice that feeling. Every chance you get. Make time for that! That feeling, those thoughts will overcome the negative mind. That focus will conquer fear.

Belief in goodness is awesome. But what do we do with doubt?

Contrast is a part of the daily life. I am my own worst critic. You're probably yours. In other words, it's ok to slip back. You wouldn't appreciate the light without the darkness.

When we learn how to become resilient, we learn how to embrace the beautifully broad spectrum of the human experience

You posess the ulimate gift.

Your mind and body will benefit every time you exercise. I've discovered incredible benefits from the ancient science of Kundalini yoga. The more I practice, new results just appear. One cannot stop feeling more alive and awake from applying this proven technology.

Here are just a few of the benefits I continue to thrive on daily:

I sleep better. I think better. I communicate better. I'm happier. I'm more grateful. I'm more patient. I move better. I doubt less. I worry less. I eat better. I digest better. I work smarter. I attract more abundance. I allow myself to prosper. I meet more beautiful, positive people.

How? By simply practicing every day. (studies reveal 9 minutes a day is all you need)

One of my awesome teachers Shabadpreet.com opines “We are living in the age of experience. Information alone is not enough. To transform and embody lasting change yoga is the ideal pathway. You can activate your highest potential through prescribed, sequential but simple movements…”

Your body is the ultimate gift. The only vehicle you'll ever have in this lifetime. Open it up and see what's in store. You'll be challenged, and then so grateful, by what you find and feel. Inside.
